Ife Iya Mi (My Mother's Love) Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

Ife Iya Mi (My Mother's Love)

Tell me about a mother's love
And i will tell you about 'Ife Iya Mi'
A love so bold and sure
A love so true and real
There's not a love in this world
Like the one my mother shows
Have come across a thousand love
But 'Ife Iya Mi' is the most distinct
No love has ever being so defined like 'Ife Iya Mi'
Nothing on earth has been so reassuring
Than the fact that i will always have 'Ife Iya Mi'
Have come across a lot of mothers
But none has ever exhibited 'Ife Iya Mi'
Have journeyed to the west
Travelled to the east
Toured to the north
And made my way to the south
But have always returned home
Just because there was never a love like 'Ife Iya Mi'
A big thanks to whosoever created love
A bigger one to whosoever made a mother's love
But kudos to whosoever made 'Ife Iya Mi'
