Before I Say, 'yes'
I have to look before i leap
I have to know the reason for the proposal
The reason why it was me and not another
I have to know the reason behind the smiles
The reason for the friendship
The reason behind the kisses and hugs
Was it for fun?
Or was it to take advantage of me?
I need to know if love is at work
Or if it's simply lust
I need to hear my heart speak
My soul dance
And my brain calm
I just need to be sure
If it's passion or illusion
I need to know the man behind the facial mask
I need to work with time
To help provide answers to the mystery of love
And listen to the sounds my heart gives
Just before i say, 'yes'

Amazing insight, quite an impact it made in my mind! If only every one would think before leaping into a relationship, it would save a lot of heartache in the long run.
