A Tale Of Love Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

A Tale Of Love

Rating: 5.0

Once upon a time
In a little city beyond the seas
There lived a girl
Whose heart was stolen
Not by the smartest thief
Not by the fairest pirate
But by love
She wandered alone
In the deepness of her love
In the loneliness of her heart
She could remember that very day
That her heart was to be stolen
She said to herself, 'hope am not falling'
But her heart was already sinking
Sinking in love
She wished she was walking
That way she would always gather up herself
But she was falling
And feared if she would never rise up again
For even though her love was far
She remained near
Clinging to their every encounter
And hoping that one day
Their paths will cross again
