Ignore those who tell you that you are not good enough
They just want to make life on you that bit more tough
Some do use their words in a negative way
And they can be quite callous in some things that they say.

Since they never give credit where credit is due
Ignore those who tell you that dreams don't come true
Sad for them the people who don't dare to dream
Their negative attitude caused by their low self esteem.

Ignore those who tell you that you will not make the grade
That in your honour there will never be a parade
They feel disappointed at their lack of acclaim
And as they are themselves they wish you to remain.

Ignore those who tell you that you won't succeed
Their sort of advice is what you do not need
For you it will be a hard climb to renown
With their sort of people trying to drag you down.
