I'll Keep The Light On Poem by Ima Ryma

I'll Keep The Light On

Rating: 5.0

I am a mushroom fungus that
Has sprouted from decaying wood,
Quite a dark and dank habitat.
But for me this location's good.
I have ability to glow,
A bioluminescent biz.
My enzymes with air make this so.
This natural reaction is
My way to get insects to call,
Attracted to my glowing light.
I am a welcome host to all,
Open during each day and night.

In turn the insects take my spore
And drop somewhere to make me more.
