Ils N'Ont Rien Appris Ni Rien Oublie Poem by Ramona Thompson

Ils N'Ont Rien Appris Ni Rien Oublie

Ils n'ont rien appris ni rien oublie
They have learned nothing and forgotten nothing
So hard these moral men we have tried to teach
Lessons from the immortal ones above
Yet still they have played to this day dumb
Just like their cavemen ancestors of the past
Stubborn and unwilling to indulge in any beliefs different or outside of their own
And so they pushed us away
So far away
Until we had no choice but to leave them
Open to the preying eyes and evil thoughts of enemy foes
Famine, war and general unrest soon followed
None of our fault
So do not try to blame us for you poor, sadly pathetic mortal men
For your troubles and burdens now on your shoulers are none but your own
For choosing to think yourselfs superior to your experiences
Now and forever more we shall leave you to deal
All alone and on your own
