I'm Just Like That Wind You Don't See Poem by Mark Heathcote

I'm Just Like That Wind You Don't See

The wind stood in its eddies next to you
It wanted to lift you,
But it didn't want to leave you.
So it whistled up a silly tune
And serpentine around you
Turning your frown upside down
And made your eyes like chestnuts shine.

The wind was so glad to stay and dance
It forgot it had other places to be
And darling, that's me; I'm just like that wind
I'm just like that wind you don't see
Wherever you go, you run off with my heart
Wherever you go, you run off with my soul
And simply darling, I lose my mind and sing.
