Imagined Reptiles And Vortices Poem by RAJESH SHIRALI

Imagined Reptiles And Vortices

Rating: 5.0

When the blades of grass
Harbor snakes that slither
But are unseen
The waves in my mind
Gravitate to a vortex
Of what is not, but should have been
I scour the earth, weed out the green
No reptile to be found
And the vortex too turns out to be
Aripple, and not what it was
When I was down
