Immersion Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Poverty and illiteracy have engulfed the village,
But the villagers are honest and simple,
They have enough faith and belief in their God
And they worship the idol of Him with great devotion and reverence.
During the time of immersion of the idol of their Supreme Being,
They pray to Him wholeheartedly to submerge their evil fate under water forever
And begin a new lease of life replete with peace and prosperity in the new year.
