Imperfection

For a little more
than a little imperfection,
for extra humility,
instead of off-rhyming two,
a poet off-rhymed three:
'stood', 'mood' and 'blood'.

One reader
read 'stud' and 'mud',
one, 'blewed' and 'stewed';
a knight who strode in
to an ominous wood
emerged covered in blood.
