Impossible Poem by Jennifer Peckins

Impossible

Moving on is impossible
When you’re in love
Moving on is impossible
When you hold him above
Everyone and everything you’ve ever known
And you cry every second that you’re alone
It’s like a silent scream and a muffled groan
And you just want to drown every shaking bone
So you’ll no longer stay up late by the phone
For him to call and say you’re not on your own
I only can cry
I just want to die
And every lie makes me fall apart inside
I fall and I crawl while trying to fly
Once again I hear you whisper goodbye
You were the only guy who ever made me try
To be perfect and give you everything I could provide
You’re everything I need and everything I want
And I’m sick of every dream that you constantly haunt
With a new girl on your arm that you just have to flaunt
Moving on is impossible
When you bleed to feel
Moving on is impossible
When nothing seems real
When his touch is too much
And your stuck in his clutch
