Just A Side Of Me Poem by Jennifer Peckins

Just A Side Of Me

It's in her eyes in her nature
In her lips when you taste her
Some say it's darkness, a void
A piece missing or destroyed
Beautifully broken, she hides it inside
Beautifully broken, puts a smile on and rides
She flinches when you touch her
Because you remind her of another
The last from her past
Let the wheel go, let her crash
So beautifully broken, can't let her fall
So beautifully broken, she can have it all
So much she doesn't see
So much she could be
Spot the pain in her face
But a spot I can't erase
She's beautifully broken, inside creeping out
So beautifully broken, forgot what she's about
A girl who spends her time wondering who's looking back
So beautifully broken, life in white and black
