Imprisoned Poem by Iman Sadikeen

Imprisoned

Let go! Let go!
Release me from this hole
Trapped in a dungeon so dark
Where no light or hope had ever shone!
Imprisoned by whom I know not to say
... And there I hear them, the dear ones
Calling out my name
Trying reach my abandoned soul.
Break through the Iron wall
I realize and despair, I cant
Who hath trapped me so, in the darkest of holes?
Could not I sight the light?
Could not I see the vividity of shades?
Who art thou, that imprisoned my soul?
I cry out in the darkness
Only my sound ringing on the walls
Then I see it rise
From within me somwhere
It speaks, it grins, says it to me,
'I am you, the mind of your soul!
