In a day love was so very happy
Not a care or worry on this lovely day
Blessed with love for my Sweetheart Mary
Truer love in words my heart could never say

Now our day and love has slipped away
There is in Mine Heart a storm
It seems a day has changed my dearest Mary
Love was fought and lost upon this shore

Dear sweetness is once again my Mary
Love in bloom for whom my heart adores
Until tomorrow begins the weather changing
When Mary becomes a perfect storm
