In A Financial Hole Poem by Francis Duggan

In A Financial Hole

Though they may be entrenched in a financial hole
There is nothing wrong with people on the dole
Since job seekers are many and jobs are in the few
And this is not saying anything that is new
And since people nowadays without money cannot live
Why begrudge them the small amount of cash that the State to them does give
With home rentals to pay and a family to clothe and feed
Of a well paying job they are badly in need
For every well to do person many are in poverty
In the Human World between people there will never be equality
The working poor as well as people on welfare
Nowadays sad to say are not even rare
So why begrudge those in a financial hole
The poor people condemned to a life on the dole.
