In Cold Blood Poem by Torence Lavender

In Cold Blood

The disappointment shatters across her face.
She can't hear anything except those words echoing through her head.
She sits motionless
Hoping if she waits long enought that the antonym of those words will snap her backt to reality.
She starts steadily breathing again.
Blinking the tears back
She leans over and her head falls into her hands.
She can't believe it's true.
She knew the words were a possibility
But she thought the odd were with them
Not against!
She thought that in time the moster of doubt would be dead.
Shot down in cold blood by their love,
But the moster rose and became powerful.
The words spoken shot her instead
Now she sits crying over the death of his love
In cold blood
