In Crossing The Bridge - Inspired By Poet Frank Davis Sr.' Poem Involuntary Crossing[ 6 Tanka ]

Rating: 5.0

In crossing the bridge
That leads to the other side
Our life has to end
The journey we've started here
Has to halt in this life time

We have to prepare
For the crossing anytime
And ready our soul
Whether we like it or not
We have to do the crossing

We have seen this life
And what it could offer us
And we like it here
Despite the difficulties
We have to endure in life

But the other side
Is full of uncertainty
Nobody has seen
What lies beyond its veiled walls
What glory could be waiting?

It is the promise
Of seeing again, people
We love and have lost
That makes the crossing easy
For we know they are waiting

On the other side
Beyond the bridge to be crossed
Someone is waiting
To welcome us with great love
In our eternal abode
