In Different Ways Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

In Different Ways

Driven and tossed by the wind,
But don't deceive your own heart;
And love to do the right thing always.

Unspotted from the world,
And of my faith in the substance of the things hoped for;
But the evidence of things yet unseen is still my hope.

It must be purged with blood and of my chains,
But i have been insulted and persecuted enough in this world.
I have my reward for those who do seek for me,
For my past is like a terrorist hiding in the bush with a bomb.

Every table is filled with the vomit of your muse,
But my presence is as simple as an angel from above;
And i will surely heal you with my sweet love.

In different ways to win my way forward,
And of the things heard and seen with the naked eyes;
But i will surely love you with my sweet heart.
Bridle your tongue like a reed quaking in the wind,
And having seen my love afar off;
But the saw by the seashore is like those who have rule over us.

Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Sarah;
They are like a meat placed into the golden pot!
But try to entertain the strangers around you with your care.
