In Favour When Blows The Breeze Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

In Favour When Blows The Breeze

Could be this or that on cricket crease,
But favourable blows when the breeze,
Luck holding helping hand,
Rules coming to defend,
The result can't but be what it is—
Someone claims on prize a four-year lease.

The World Cup Cricket Final is finally over, and England has been declared a winner after a tie even after a super over. Opinions vary. But the fait accompli has been before us. And only a pen-pusher not involved in the game can philosophize in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Here is the Limerick which in the spirit of the game is allowed one extra line.

I invite poets' comments on modifying the structure of limericks to add a few lines, changing order, one and a half limerick, double limericks, etc.
