In Fear Of The Cliche Poem by Matthew Holloway

In Fear Of The Cliche

In fear of the cliché
the meaningless words or gestures
the wasteful actions being undertaken
a message becoming lost in a display
that a protest or call becomes forgotten
lost in the whirlwind of an idea
or a statement of intense emotion
is left unheard or worse ignored
cast aside as like a commercial flyer
the passion and drive lost
to the response presented
no, not and never this, no more
a message should, must be heard
in fear of the cliché
and keeping it forever away
