In Government We Trust Poem by Alma F. Martin

In Government We Trust

</>I shall be the noble servant
Who proudly bears forth a shining serpent

And trust of all I shall gain
Never to be placed in disdain

As I rectify your fortunes cold
And shimmer as I take all your gold

The role of government I shall fake
And through your heart shall I drive a stake

And I alone will solve problems smart
as I lift my leg and produce a fart.
