The sun's on our side for the time being
As we sit in shallow water
I can see your fins and tail
And I'm wet from sitting in the shallow
water
It's just us alone for the time being

Love's always been a tricky thing with me
Because I'm so bad at it
Because I suck at it
Because I don't fully understand it

However
One thing's true
And it's been something I've been carrying
with me for some time now
And that would be that you're the one I care
a lot about
That you're the one I want to be with

You tell me exactly how you feel
And your feelings are the same as mine
Our feelings seem to be melding together
under the sunshine

Leaning in close together
My hand touching your cheek and chin
We kiss
Cementing our status
