In my essence, I am one with my Beloved,
a truth beyond the bounds of time and form.
Though I dwell in this earthen frame,
a vessel of clay,
I remain, at my core,
a spark of heavenly light.
Why wait for the light to arrive
when I am already its eternal radiance?
Why plead for promises once spoken
when He is both the Promisor and the Promise,
the Giver and the Gift,
the Seeker and the Sought?
Knowing this, I whirl like a spinning top,
drunk on the wine of divine ecstasy,
my soul a dancer in the cosmic play.
From the hidden secret, I have learned the word
once veiled, now unveiled:
The bond of Alast—firm, unbreakable—
was never a contract of separation
but a mirror's play,
where the gazer adores his own reflection.
In truth, there is no other,
no you or me,
only the One,
manifesting as many.
O Heart, tell me—was this love ever ours to choose?
Could it have bloomed had He not first sparked the flame?
Love is not a choice but a decree,
a sacred echo of Alastu bi Rabbikum—
'Am I not your Lord? '—
and the soul's whispered Balaa,
'Yes, You are.'
A covenant written in the stars,
etched into the fabric of being.
Who can truly behold You,
the One beyond all form?
If even a shadow of duality remained,
You could be seen—
but in absolute unity, You are beyond sight,
beyond grasp, yet closer than our breath.
You are the riddle and the answer,
the echo and the voice,
the thread that weaves the Alast and Balaa,
the Seeker and the Sought entwined.
This is the mystery of love divine:
the Lover and the Beloved are not two,
but a single flame, a single essence.
The dance of creation is but a reflection,
a play of light and shadow,
where the soul remembers its origin
and longs to return to its Source.
So I whirl, not in search but in remembrance,
not in longing but in fulfillment.
For I am already home, already whole,
already one with the Beloved.
This is the secret whispered in every heart,
the truth that sets the seeker free:
You are not apart from Him—
you are Him, and He is you.
The journey ends where it began—
in the eternal embrace of the One.
