In My Life Poem by Francis Duggan

In My Life

In my life I don't have much to celebrate
And I have been struggling for to smile of late
In life as we know there's many a pitfall
But when compared to many my worries are small
So many are living in utter despair
And life to them one can say very unfair
They do have the heaviest crosses to bear
It is a rat race in the big World out there
When compared to many I do not have a right to complain
I'm not slowly dying of malnutrition with gnawing hunger pain
So I should count my blessings I'm not in poverty
There are millions of people doing it harder than me
Yes compared to many I am doing quite okay
Though my journey in life I find harder each day.
