In My Old Age/I Am Happy Again Poem by Shalom Freedman

In My Old Age/I Am Happy Again

In my old age
I am happy again
I can walk and sing again
I can talk to friends again
I can read and think again
I can look and see so much beauty in the world again
I am not yet done
I am still here
I am happy again
Just to be here
And be alright
Insofar as I am.
