In My Own Riddle, I Find Joy Poem by Mohammad Younus

In My Own Riddle, I Find Joy

In my own riddle, I find joy,
In moments like these, I feel truly alive.
Inspired by my mystery,
I delve deep to discover the best in me.

No footprints mark my path,
I am free—not bound
To any dead or living guru.
It's a wondrous experience
To walk alone through the desert vast.

Like any mystic, east or west,
North or south,
We traverse blind alleys,
But I am not blind to my Lord's grace.
He guides me from darkness to light.

Dancing on my head
To the rhythm of divine tunes.
Like a whirling dervish,
I behold the once-distant goal now near,
So I walk on, fearless, toward my aim.

I turn away from the pages
I wrote in ignorance.
My face unlined by their wrinkles,
For I have buried those books of delusion
In the desert sands.
