Living our lives and walking the earth
We each see ourselves as a Supreme Being,
But little we know how deep we shall go-
And we end up all merely a thing
Yes…
In life some sizes are hefty and more
And some are perspiringly less,
We all run around, sweat and rebound
And try to do always our best.
As long as we breathe
We continue to give
As once long ago we gave,
We nurture and plot
But all we'll now give-
Is a future entombed in a grave.
Only one thing is assured-
As forthcoming new secrets all stir-
And one's life is now soiled in theft,
While we cannot grow any more,
nor recoil on the floor-
We all are the same size in our death.
