In Our Embrace, I Feel Farewell Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

In Our Embrace, I Feel Farewell

Your arms around me,
as if they want to catch me
and let me go at the same time.

The warmth lingers,
bit I feel already the cold
approaching.

Your fingers tighten,
as if they could stop time,
but the seconds slip away
between our bodies.

I hear no words,
only a silence that says too much.

In our embrace,
you are still here,
but I already feel you leaving.
