If in my house
Which I share with my child and spouse,
Which are the loves of my life
Which upon them I want no sickness or strife.
I always wondered this
As we live in our home with bliss,
As I think of our world on the outside
And if we treated it as our inside.
If we kept our windows and doors always closed
And our trash about us was never disposed,
And if we turn the air conditioner off
No matter how hot.
And if our home had no ventilation
And we had no more insulation,
If we didn't replace the filters here or there
And cleaning inside our home we never do or care.
The Earth and our house is both our home
It is our protective dome,
And if don't keep them clean and safe
Because of us, it will send us to an early grave.
