In Our Country Poem by Randy McClave

In Our Country

In our country today this might sound funny
But, I've never not once given a politician any money,
Never did I donate it to either he or a she
Because, that politician is already richer than me.
Never did I buy any politician's merchandise
Whether it be flags, coins, hats or cards or dice,
They already have or are seeking a good paying job
And they should never be greedy or wanting to steal or rob.
Never did I place a politicians sign in my yard
That belief by me has been barred,
Being elected for every politician is their main goal
And for no politician, will I ever sell my soul.
Any politicians that had created any type of sin or crime
Never did I or would I support them at anytime,
If that politician ever lied or cheated to stay afloat
I promise you this, they would not get my support or vote.
If any politician continually claims their Innocence
Just because they have more instability than common sense,
Even though they have broke their word and also the law
Indeed that politician should fall.
This is the last political thought that I will say
Pertaining to my home and country in the U.S.A,
If any politician screams for assault, attack or bedlam
Never would they get my support to overthrow my country for them.
