In Search Of Identity Poem by Sankar Sarkar

In Search Of Identity

Rating: 5.0

I like loving you
For every moment
And feel you
At every layer of heart
Like wave of ocean and air
I yearn for getting lost myself
In the beat of your existence
To find my identity,
In everything and being
Both in space and the pace
If the blurred past pains me
Even it peeps hopelessly
like broken window!
Yet you exist, this thought consoles me
You are not mere any dream,
Nor illusion: you are being of flesh and blood
Countless possibilities pour into you
Like myriad streams of desire,

No anxiety no agony
Can make you pale,
For every moment
You are momentous to elevate me
It is not real what seems
To be sorrows and pains
That you consume all gall
As Shiva drinks up all venom,
I am in search for identity ever
Along the path of transmigration
Through light and dark,
Sometimes like earthworm
And again like feral tiger,
I and my existence is reciprocal
But controversial in identity
Like concrete and abstract,
Body and soul, and tide and web;
I've been in search of identity since then
Both in absurdity and universality

Sorry, unable to comment, the poem not being my genre. Does the piece talk about philosophy, and the piece a blank verse? But it still shows brilliance of your pen.
