By whatever name you call your God
He is my God also,
Whatever form you think of Him
Form or formless
He is my God also.
There is only one of Him,
Some look for him in holy and structured places
Others sit under a tree with closed eyes.
Still others wait praying in their hearts,
There is no place in which he is not.
All names are his
And all forms.
He answers to all forms
And all names.
He is neither mine nor yours.
He is wise who unrestricted in heart and mind
Makes a holy place of his heart,
Who sees this world and star studded sky as his home
And all creatures great and small
As his children.
We would not go wrong then
For we would know where to find him,
Not far from ourselves,
In our hearts.
