In The Blink Of An Eye Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

In The Blink Of An Eye

Rating: 4.0

Tomorrow is now today
passing the midnight hour
Yesterday just faded away
The present is now…it is ours

A moment is an event in short supply...
not to be taken for granted or wasted
Savored each precious blink of the eye...
giving thanks for the flavors tasted

Some sit in the dark complaining...
writing penned notes of farewell
Numb to the possibility of sustaining...
overcome by a creeping toxic smell

To those who contemplate prematurely
saying goodbye…search your conscience
Hold on to thoughts of redemption securely
Love ones prefer to refer to you in present tense
