In The Depths Of Longing, I Surrender Poem by Mohammad Younus

In The Depths Of Longing, I Surrender

In the depths of longing, I surrender,
Lord, guide me to the state of sobriety tender.
With the wine of Your love, let me be filled,
In Your embrace, let all my fears be stilled.

Bind me to You with chains of love divine,
In Your presence, may my soul forever shine.
Empty me of all but Your profound grace,
In Your mercy, may I find my rightful place.

Let Your love consume every part of me,
In Your light, let my spirit be set free.
Dying to self, in Your arms I find rebirth,
In Your love, let me wander on this earth.

Awaken me from ignorance's silent slumber,
With Your love's light, may my path no more somber.
Illuminate my being with Your boundless grace,
In Your presence, let my heart find its rightful place.

Grant me a heart receptive to Your sacred song,
Purged of all that taints Your pure love's lifelong.
Bestow upon me divine peace's gentle kiss,
In Your love, let me find eternal bliss.

So in Your love, I surrender and proclaim,
In Your embrace, I find my truest aim.
Guide me, O Lord, to sobriety's sacred shore,
In Your love, let me wander evermore
