In the evening before dusk...
...children would shout while watching...
...murders of crows in the sky...
...returning their homes;
Where from you're coming?
Where're you going?
With bridegroom to bride's home!
Can you take me with you?
You too wear the black robes!
I too wear the black robes!
The murders of a thousand crows but...
...soon disappeared beyond horizons;
That moment's silence appalling!
No one can join their wedding party...
...in the stark darkness of night.
I spend the whole night waiting for...
...the morning light to join the caravan.
I think of those crow weddings all the while;
Sometimes standing! Sometimes sleeping!
Perplexed by sadness! Impatient to get wedded!
Almost swallowed by the vastness of silence!
Yet, at dawn silence breaks, to my ecstasy;
I again hear the kawing of crows...
...leaving for the far off woods.
Returning in the evening for relaxing...
...because in the morning they will again be...
...flying to the far off woods;
Coming and going is their routine job...
...from eternity without stop!
I too am like a crow!
My love for going to far off woods...
...will never wane.
