In The Eyes Of God Poem by Randy McClave

In The Eyes Of God

We are all equal in the eyes of God
Sadly, we aren't equal in the eyes of man,
We are judged and we judge by race and belief
Sadly we bring forth both hate and grief.
We don't ever help or do what we truly can.

We hate the poor and also the needy
We don't care if a poor child is starving or unfed,
Look at how we treat a poor child
And then we scream abortions should be exiled.
We don't really care when the poor lay dead.

We think healthcare shouldn't be for all
Just available for those who can afford it,
Same thoughts and beliefs are for a child's dinner
We treat them like they are the sinner.
And those acts, by them one day we will be bit.

We are all equal to one and to each other
Even though some will have more expensive clothes,
Some were just lucky where they were born
Or from where they were torn.
Luckily, they don't have an empty belly, or a bloody nose.

We sometimes think of others that we are better
But, truly indeed we all are a little bit flawed,
I am no better than you or any
Even if to your name you don't have one copper penny.
We are all equal in the eyes of God.
