In The Midnight You Awaken Me Poem by Mohammad Younus

In The Midnight You Awaken Me

In The Midnight You Awaken Me

In the midnight, you awaken me,
With your sweet voice,
Instantly, I rise, casting off my quilt,
Wondering what this ringing is,
Who is calling me?
I was offline,
Nevertheless,
I answered your midnight call,
And heared your voice, telling me: ...
'Let your heart and soul be swayed...
...by my voice?
After you have answered my call..
...start returning home.'

I am journeying to you, ...
...following your voice call,
I know not where you reside,
Nor even your name,
Yet, I hope I draw nearer to you,
My heartbeat quickens
As your countenance brightens,
Almost rendering me unconscious,
Words cannot convey my gratitude,
As you send me your cryptic message...
...all the while, Your mysterious flute...
...serves as the sole clue, ...
...to unravel the Hidden mystery, ...
...of who you are and who I am,
I've been observing you in your mirror, ...
...from the inception of my affection for you,
Let it be known that the mirror lies within me!
