In The Patch Poem by Marilyn Jean

In The Patch

I sit in a patch of light
Warming a thought or two
Remembering yesterday
Here it is all about it
Memories of a life passed
Yesterday and little tomorrow
Here, today I even said so
But nothing sinks in ever
Never ever had nor ever will
So next I go in the patch
Working, yet the lights calls
So, I will walk on the grass
Maybe I'll see a bee or two
There, free as I want to be
I will only think of you
As if you were with me
Although truly, you will be
