There Is Nowhere Poem by Marilyn Jean

There Is Nowhere

Rating: 5.0

Absolutely nowhere to go and hide
I linger here waiting to exhaustion
Things turn very strange all around
Emptiness fills my room, sunny but dull
Not here, not here, the clock races
There is nothing, nowhere, to do or go to
I am trapped here, you decided for me
Someone always does
This has to stop
As do the tears
Exhaustion brings no relief to this
Nothing does and there is nowhere to go
This has to stop
As you surely know

Surely you know

You decided for me, someone always does. All the bumper stickers and refrigerator magnets with snippets of advice. Smiley faces and such only seem absurd. The heart knows what the heart knows and exhaustion brings no relief.
