In The Shadow Of My Existence Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

In The Shadow Of My Existence

I walk where the light does not reach,
where echoes fade before they are heard.

Time moves, yet I remain,
a shape without weight,
a voice without sound.

The world turns its face to the sun,
while I linger in the space
between presence and absence.

If I were to step forward,
would I cast a shadow,
or become one?
