In Their Company And Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

In Their Company And

Rating: 0.8

"You are stupid" he blasted
"You have no lead"
He was shivering with rage
I was listening to person from bonded cage

"You are pretending" he went on
"You are recklessly spending" he lamented
"We will be over soon and turn poor"
"We shall be begging from door to door"

He was real brother of mine
He lost his temper while were dining
He was waiting for chance
He got it at once

I was younger
But capable and stronger
Had carved out own empire
But was always subjected to satire

I used to mix with simple and ordinary
It was giving me more joy and less worry
I could feel and smell real humanity
How happy were they with simplicity?

They were short of necessary means
They looked lean thin
No flesh was scene on whole body
As they had to worry more for plenty

What does it matter if I had an excess?
Why did it differ when they had no access?
One suffered with an access and other enjoyed in scarcity
This was magic game played by an Almighty

I felt divine in their company
So it was disliked in family
But I had satisfaction
With my simple action
