So he is gone
To a land yet unknown
Faces around could be read
Red, purple and red
And tears-filled eyes said
Intact his breath could not be held
Passing through days so hectic and passionate
As lately as today unhidden was his ioy to the fullest
Joy of a rarest kind it sounded
Earthly yet heavenly it seemed
Unto ecstasy drowned and drowned
Until he saw a new home around
To home away from home he is gone
With joy resting upon his lips halcyon
To betoken life leaving for life in heaven
Oh, what a cordial visage discerned then
That we looked trifle
The world fanciful
And things around so hateful
That he loved to be grasped of such an artful
Though not unto cognizance of his essence
Perchance transpiring him into a state of blissfulness
That he was through and through
Till my tearful eyes bade him adieu
