Inauguration Day Poem by Ramona Thompson

Inauguration Day

Note-Is this really how some people feel?

It's insulting to those of us who never wanted to see man of color in this high a office to have to watch this
No one understands how we feel or even seems to want to
All they wanna do is celebrate what is in our view, a disgrace
Undermined and schemed his way past a good white man
God only knows he's fone nothing right or just to deserve this honor
Useless to try and change our minds otherwise
Rapidly approaching for us all as a nation is a nightmare soon to unfold
A monster will lead us down a path to the ulimate demise
Terrible wars and famines will follow in his wake
Idiots who voted for this fool this is going to be all your fault when it happens
Only wish you morons had listened to us when you had the chance now it's too late
No one and nothing can stop what is all too soon to come to pass

Damage to the world and its people beyond repair
An antichrist in office
You were warned

Too late
Too bad you did't take heed
Now doomsday has arrived!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I think it's sad that in 2009 there are still people like yourself that would keep black people at the back of the bus. Maybe it's time for you to take a long hard look at yourself and realize that you and people like you are the real nightmare for this country. Perhaps you should move to a country that still believes that your way of thinking is the right way. I pray that you see the light. God Bless
