Inchoate Imaginings Poem by moon batchelder

Inchoate Imaginings

inchoate imaginings mesmerize,
deluding both logic and thought.
incessant believing in reveries
will only lend sadness and loss.
intrinsically cleaving to alibis,
excluding such notion as proof,
can not but result in a compromise
- reality, fancy unto.

'twere better preferring the obvious
informing both body and mind
of truth, without motive to acquiesce
or settle for lesser designs.
for what, if not truth, is a pair of wings?
nor is it exclusive of dreams
to forfeit unfruitful meanderings.
exquisite - the difference between!
