POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Elections were held in three states of North India-Madhya prades, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. All three were ruled by BJP the party which is in power in the central Indian government under Modi. BJP has been ousted in all the states by the Congress party, which is the oldest party in India.
Cow belt refers to north Indian states where issues relating to Hindus are prominent, like cow-slaughter, Ram mandir at Ayodhya etc. These are often called cow belt states.

Joseph Goebbels was Hitler's Minister of Propoganda,
known for his hate speeches, which used to bring masses to a frenzy.
Some of the leaders are known to deliver hate speeches which can spread hatred and raise strong emotions. However the voters are getting mature and don't fall prey to such propoganda.

All credit to the electorate for making ruling BJP look beyond their arrogance. Thanks for a timely treat.
