Ineptitude Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Ineptitude

Rating: 5.0

Please do not knock again
This shell is closed
Raining deep inside the heart
Tearing apart

Loves fickle weather
So difficult to predict
One minute its sunshine
Filled with mysterious delight
Later thunder and lightening hit

Confusing
Abused yet loved by love
So complicated
Better, pushed away
Put into the memories deep

Inhale the flagrance of peace
Back into the shell
Impervious to cupids aim
To wake in the morn
No aches
Ready to face the day

Just a false dream
Aches will still be there
Always prodding
Gouging
Dragging down
Back down to the pit of remorse

Caring too much being the problem
The consequences the numbness
Swallowing up
Twisting in the wounds
Dying a little more each day
Bit by bit on the sharp knives of love
Unable to find an escape

Ineptitude of trying
Fixed the bar too high
The cliché of love
Unobtainable
