Inevitability Poem by Barry A. Lanier

Inevitability

Anger and pain I must refrain,
Taxes and death are to be.
Regret, discontent, time not well-spent,
Jealousy and greed must take heed.

In time work on issues and friends,
Have concluded yet don't know why?
All of these in life inevitable I agree,
Yet sweet misery is optional to me.
