Infant Poem by Shivaprasad KS

Infant

Rating: 5.0

God I know the answers to the universe,
Man I know the answers to your sufferings,
Sure I know what's the purpose of living,
Yes, I know what comes after dying,
Oh, The origin of life or the destiny of sentients?
All the truths adorn this wisdom.
Past, Present, Future and beyond...
No Secrets can hide from this thinker.

Okay maybe not that, and maybe not this,
Small questions, maybe I can miss,
But the big ones are my actual field of play,
The Sun and Stars, Not mud and clay.
Look there is no proof yet, but am working on it,
Stop asking reasons, it is what it is,
Yes, Yes, and Yes.
No Secrets can hide from this thinker!

Am I on the Ocean Floor?
Or just walking by the shore,
Maybe the ends I met, were just mere beginnings,
The paths I stepped on, lead to infinity,
Maybe I danced on the tip of the Ice berg,
Maybe am afraid to sink to the depth,
To start an unending journey,
To reveal the truth that lies underneath
To quench, the unquenchable,
Before I dive, I should learn to swim?
But It can't be, I know all the answers! What preposterous lies!
I don't know these answers?
No! Am wiser than the elders of the universe,
My experiences shall tell my tale,
And all these doubts will go stale,
But Maybe just maybe..
There is stuff out there beyond my reason,
Not the elder of the universe,
Maybe am just an Infant.
