Inferiority Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

Inferiority

Rating: 4.5

People find you inferior,
They laugh and call you names,
They find you weak
When you cry,

To prevent other’s speculations,
You create a mask,
You build your walls ten feet tall,
So no one can get in,

And when the mask isn’t enough,
You lock yourself in a room,
You make use of the world you created,
And cry when it all falls apart,

The hostile stares,
Cause you to look the ground,
Their criticism a belittlement to your self-esteem,
Your life begins to mean nothing,
And soon there will be nothing left,

A powerful poem about something that effects a lot of people, but a lot of victims of bullying don't like to speak out about it. Sometimes it is up to others who see bullying to stand up and put a stop to it, there should be no victims of bullying. A great write.
