Infinite Love Poem by Mark Heathcote

Infinite Love

A moth ventures into the twilight
forgetting all the world's misfortunes
it flutters around the moon and stars
but now it realizes its infinite love
is to drink not the light in the dark
but to drink the nectar of your heart
in a river of love, it now dives
dancing in a litany of celestial fire
its prayers are answered by daylight
Not by a multitude of endless stars
A goddess celestial basking in the moonlight
But the infinitely blinding light of another.
